The Yard is a recently refurbished showroom in a converted warehouse with a very generous 11,000 square feet of space, alongside an adjoining exterior courtyard. Stoke Newington Town Hall retains much of the glamour of its past, with the building dating back to the 1930s. Having once functioned as a dance hall, the original mirror ball is still in working order, and it is unique period features like this coupled with the art deco styling throughout that will help your conference to really stand out from the rest. The vast open space of The Assembly Hall can hold up to 500 guests, and boasts great natural acoustics, whilst the large windows ensure there is plenty of light to make the space feel bright and airy.
Found in the Docklands, next to the Excel Centre, Fox@ExCel is a fully refurbished former tobacco warehouse that now serves as a lively bar and restaurant, as well as a multi-purpose events space. There are 6 different areas in all to choose from, adding up to offer a total capacity of 1200. The designated events team are on hand to help with each step of the process, from the early planning stages to the successful running of the day itself, and having already played host to everything from product launches to themed parties, and networking days to summer BBQs, it seems they can turn their hand to anything.
York Hall is a 1929 Neo-Georgian building found in the very heart of the East End, just 5 minutes from Bethnal Green tube station and 7 minutes from Cambridge Heath Rail station. Though known as the home of British boxing – hosting several big matches which are broadcast live on TV – the venue has been the setting for all manner of private and corporate occasions. Aside from the main hall, there is a 280 seat balcony, various smaller rooms which make ideal breakaway spaces, as well as a spa, gym, swimming pool, kitchen, bar and loading bay, keeping your options well and truly open.
Easily the most distinguishingfeature at East Wintergarden is the 27 metre high domed glass ceiling, designed by Cesar Pelli. This floods the main floor with more than ample natural light and ensures the space feels open, not to mention highly contemporary. Aside from this main space, there is The Gallery and The Promenade Room, which are ideally suited to private receptions and meetings respectively. These smaller spaces can be hired individually if you so desire, but all-in-all, the venue boasts a generous capacity of 1250, making it great for larger gatherings.
