Best affordable 40th or 50th birthday party venues near Camden

Camden is certainly not short of great venues to hold an important birthday celebration, but just because it’s a special occasion, doesn’t mean we can all afford to break the bank. With that in mind, here is a selection of affordable venues that don’t skimp on the quality.

Hugo’s

Hugo's

Hugo’s has an almost rustic warmth to it courtesy of the pew style seating and the use of wooden flooring and furnishings. This charm brings an intimate feeling to the venue and yet that’s not to say it is lacking in space. In fact, it can hold a surprisingly generous 80 for a formal seated reception or 120 if you would prefer a more laid back buffet style party, where guests can mingle more easily. Personal service is on offer to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, and you are invited to get in touch and discuss whatever hopes you have for your party so that they can help make it a reality.

Gilgamesh London

Gilgamesh London

You can’t really fail to be impressed by the intricacy and ornateness of the décor at Gilgamesh London. This immersive and visually striking venue host all sorts of occasions, with the Events Planners working alongside you to create an entirely bespoke celebration for anywhere from 20 to 500 guests. This makes Gilgamesh a viable choice no matter the size of your guest list!  With parking for up to 100 cars and good local transport links nearby – including Camden Town and Chalk Farm – this is a venue that is equally as practical a choice as it is a beautiful one.

Camino King’s Cross

Camino Kings Cross

Fancy the idea of escaping to Spain without even having to leave Central London? Well Camino King’s Cross is precisely the venue you’ve been looking for. Having garnered high praise for being an authentic Spanish restaurant and bar, it’s the combination of the exquisite décor and the lovely atmosphere that make Camino such a popular choice. Delicious food and Latino vibes that are sure to get everyone in the mood for a spot of dancing, you’re guaranteed to get into the good time spirit here. As the name suggests, it is found right by King’s Cross station, meaning it’s easily reached from throughout the city.

The Princess

The Princess

With a name like The Princess, your mind no doubt conjures something elegant and sophisticated. If so, you won’t be disappointed. Found in the beautiful area of Primrose Hill, this recently renovated venue is warm and welcoming with its sumptuous styling not taking anything away from the laid-back and relaxing atmosphere that makes this such an ideal spot for a fuss free birthday celebration. With a maximum capacity of 350 spread across a total of 3 floors, spaces on offer include a dining room, a basement level bar and the Banksy beer garden, complete with striking mural.

The Fiddler’s

The Fiddler's

The Fiddler’s Elbow is rich in history, be it the long list of musical acts who have graced the stage or the age of the building itself, now Grade II listed. There are 2 rooms available either separately or together – the main area, with its stage, projector and top quality lighting and PA system, ideal if you wanted to organise entertainment for the party; and the Black & White Bar, an intimate space complete with a 1964 jukebox. Lively and certainly unique, The Fiddler’s is available for hire Monday-Thursday, making it a great choice if you want to break from the norm and celebrate mid-week.
