Planning a Christmas party in The City of London? Still in search of the perfect venue? Well fear not, for you’ve come to the right place.
Coq d’Argent is found on the top floor at N1 Poultry, well above the noise of the busy streets below, serving as something of an unexpected oasis in the heart of the city. The core of this venue is undoubtedly the rooftop garden and terraces, which succeed in bringing an injection of lush greenery into the concrete jungle that is London, forming a striking contrast with the urban skyline which lies beyond. There’s also plenty of indoor space however, so don’t worry if the weather doesn’t hold out.
The White Swan has 3 distinct areas, each on its own floor: the ground floor pub, the mezzanine level and the first floor dining room. These spaces can be hired individually for smaller parties or combined to accommodate a larger guest list of up to 150 in total. Effortlessly classy, it is available for hire both day and night, and sits close to a plethora of public transport links, including Chancery Lane, City Thameslink and Holborn.
Perhaps the biggest selling point as Ask for Janice is the willingness of the staff to help in whatever way they can to ensure you have the best night possible. You will be assigned an Events Manager, and they will oversee the legwork, allowing you to simply enjoy the party when the time comes. Aside from the service, the other real highlight is the impressive drinks selection; with more than 40 gins and 60 craft beers to choose from, no one’s glass should run dry.
Thick with atmosphere, The Bootlegger has been styled to resemble a speakeasy from the 1920s prohibition era. Another offering where the drinks are sure to flow, they are known for their great cocktails, both classics and original mixings. In fact, they even run masterclasses where you can learn to mix your own drinks if you wish. Live jazz and Charleston performances ensure the evening feels entirely authentic, sure to get everyone off their feet and in full festive swing.
Landing Forty Two – affectionately nicknamed The Cheesegrater – is in fact London’s highest dedicated events space, found on the 42nd floor of The Leadenhall Building. As you might expect, the venue offers unrivalled views of the city, allowing you to take in the Thames and the skyline from a totally unique perspective. The 5000 square feet of space on offer is very flexible in its use and able to accommodate as many as 300 guests at a reception.
Also allowing you to enjoy wonderful views of London, only this time from a completely different level, The Oyster Shed is a riverside venue that looks out onto well-known landmarks such as The Shard and London Bridge. The vast, full-length windows allow you to make the most of this outlook, whilst also serving to flood the interior space with an abundance of natural light. Exclusive hire is available at weekends, with ample space for up to 400 guests.
