Shoreditch is a popular area of London’s historic East End, known for its great venues, rich history and strong links to the entertainment industry. As such, it is no real surprise that it has become a much sought after location to host festive events, making it all the more important to get your bookings in early if you want to nab a great location such as any of the following.
Eighty Four Shoreditch is found in a wonderful central location, just minutes from Old Street roundabout and Old Street tube station, keeping it well connected to the rest of London and easily reached from throughout the city. This café, bar and restaurant is fully licenced and has a well-equipped kitchen, making it easy to organise plenty of refreshments to keep your guests happy. A charming, intimate interior with space for up to 80 guests, this versatile venue is a great choice if you want a more informal and friendly feel for your Christmas party.
As is hinted at in the name, this venue is the true epitome of a blank canvas. This makes it highly adaptable depending on the particular mood or vibe you wanted to achieve for your party and an excellent choice for anyone who likes to put their own spin on things when it comes to the décor. With a total floor space of 1500 square feet and a maximum capacity of 200 people, it is ideal for Christmas gatherings, and found just a few minutes from Shoreditch High Street Overground and easy walking distance from Liverpool Street Underground stations.
If instead you find yourself in need of something a little bigger to stage your party, The Yard, also found near Liverpool Street station, could be just what you are looking for. This huge warehouse is spread across 11,000 square feet in an airy, open plan layout. As with the previous venue, it can very much be tailored to meet the specific needs of your party but can accommodate twice as many guests, with ample room for up to 420 people. With high ceilings, lots of natural light and character features giving a touch of charm. Meanwhile, the off-street parking and private courtyard outside also come in very handy.
Shoreditch Studios is another excellent choice when it comes to those who need a blank canvas of sorts, but one that is not lacking in its own sense of character. Found in two railway arches, this venue is a generous 3,500 square feet in size, allowing up to 450 guests to attend your Christmas celebrations. Alongside other interesting features, the curves of the arches create atmosphere, while the exposed Victorian brickwork allows you to soak up the historical architectural style that dates right back to 1860, ideal for those who appreciate London’s rich heritage. Given its evidently strong railway links, Old Street train and Underground stations are aptly nearby, just a five minute walk away.
The Hoxton Distillery at The Macbeth is found, as the name would imply, just 200 yards from Hoxton Square, in the very heart of Shoreditch. The décor has a sumptuous, decadent feel, while the space itself is split across three separate floors, each of different layouts and sizes. This makes it very versatile as a venue option, as you can choose to rent out specific rooms or to combine the whole space depending on your particular needs. In total, they can host up to 300 people per event here, while you needn’t worry about reaching it, with both Liverpool Street train station and Old Street tube station both within comfortable walking distance.
