Below you will find some of our favourite interesting London venues which are available for dry hire, ideal should you wish to outsource or retain creative control when it comes to organising the specifics, making it easier to tailor the space to suit your individual requirements.
The Square Gallery London boasts more than 600 square feet of event space. With a bright, open and well-lit interior complimented by a contemporary feel, it’s a particularly popular choice for art exhibitions but has been used for all manner of events, both private and corporate alike. You are able to bring your own alcohol to the venue, but it is also surrounded by fantastic restaurants and cafés – including Gordon Ramsay’s London House – should you wish to dine separately from the main event itself.
Printworks Kitchen is a licenced, quirky, design-led event space that sits within the hub that is the city’s design district. It’s well-suited to smaller gatherings, with a capacity of just 80, and these guests should have no problem reaching you, with the building surrounded by a plethora of good transport links including Chancery Lane, Holborn and Farringdon. There are a range of hire options available, including one-off hire and residencies, with local EC1 businesses offered a 10% discount.
Arch 29 can accommodate up to 280 guests in all (180 on the ground floor and a further 100 on the mezzanine level). These two spaces combine to offer a floorplan of more than 2,800 square feet which can be utilised and kitted out as needed, alongside use of the outdoor courtyard. This contemporary yet characterful space is located in Bankside, within comfortable walking distance of both Southwark and Borough tube stations.
Total Boxer is a newcomer to the events scene, having only opened its doors in 2017. This unique industrial warehouse unit offers loft style studio space and a boxing gym, split over two floors. These large, open spaces are versatile in their use, but given the in-house gym equipment, it does naturally lend itself to a sport related event or as a rehearsal or practice space for the likes of dance and yoga classes. The building also comes with free parking facilities and is close to good rail links.
A bright, dynamic studio space found in North London, Cloud and Horse Studio is essentially a complete blank canvas that can be transformed into the backdrop for any event type you could dream up, from conferences to dinner parties and anything else in between. The total capacity allows for up to 200 guests, with nearby tube stations including Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters, both of which can be reached in around 10 minutes.
Be it a relaxed cocktail party where guests can mingle or a more formal seated dinner, Grain Store is a wise choice for any event where you want the food and the service to be the stars of the show. The beautiful dining space looks onto the bustling open kitchen, which lends the venue a theatrical air. Its biggest selling point however is surely the large outdoor terrace by the fountains of Granary Square, perfect for summer alfresco dining with an added dash of wow factor.
