Soho is one of London’s trendiest and most enduringly popular areas and as such, it has more than a few great venues on offer. We’ve hand-picked some of the best amongst them, each of which we think is ideally suited to a top notch press show.
With an impressive 6 floors on offer in all – comprising a total of 300 square metres of event space – 19 Greek Street is certainly a flexible offering. This series of intimate spaces can be hired either in part of in full, for a total capacity of up to 80, depending on your event’s particular needs. Being a Victorian townhouse, it has various characterful touches that add warmth, despite being enough of a blank canvas that you can still put your own stamp on it. This convenience has led to understandable popularity, with top brand including GQ, Levis, Diptyque and Rémy Martin, amongst others, having already made use of this unique venue.
68 and Boston is a duo of bars – 68, the ground floor wine bar, and Boston, the first floor cocktail bar which serves both classics and original creations. Bookings are very flexible here, with various areas to choose from which can provide both private or semi-private hire, as well as exclusive hire of the entire venue also an option if you so wish. This means they can accommodate your needs, be it for 2 or 260 people. There’s certainly not a shortage of choices when it comes to travel either, with the likes of Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square and Covent Garden stations all within comfortable walking distance.
Making the most of its enviable location, 100 Wardour has taken its design inspiration from its trendy Soho surroundings, meaning it is perfectly in-keeping with the reputation the area has become renowned for. Certainly flexible in its use, it has played host to everything from film screenings to fashion shows, and music events to product launches. Ideally suited to larger gatherings in particular, it can accommodate an impressive 870 guests in total, with two floors on offer, including the basement Club, which features its own stage and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.
The Den is certainly a fun choice if you want something totally out of the ordinary. This cigar boutique and lounge offers the very best in cigars, as well as an extensive array of whiskies, rums and cocktails, meaning it’s a world away from a dreary old office block or typical conference centre. With its own walk-in humidor, an on-site cigar sommelier to guide and recommend, and stylish surroundings, The Den combines an air of elegance and sophistication with an old-school drinking den for a truly one of a kind experience that is sure to make an impression.
The classic shop front of 15 Bateman Street belies the deceptively large 2-floor venue that lies beyond. Exuding character, yet flexible in its use, this charming venue with a simple yet stylish finish has experience as a commercial art gallery, and as such is used to being adapted to suit an individual client’s needs and already comes equipped with great quality, custom lighting. There is a good capacity of 200, with the nearest transport links being Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus, which can be reached in just 6 and 11 minutes respectively.
