Fitzrovia is one of the most vibrant areas of London, meaning it’s a go-to place for all kinds of different events, dinner parties very much included. We’ve compiled the following list of venues, which features some of our favourite settings for just such an occasion, hopefully making your search for the perfect space that little bit easier.
Part of the beloved and highly successful Hakkasan family, the Hanway Place iteration is no less impressive than all of its international counterparts. Striking and immersive décor courtesy of famed designer, Christian Liaigre, really sets the scene for a special occasion, and when you hear that the restaurant has retained a much-coveted Michelin star since 2003, you know that the food will be every bit as good, keeping the Hakkasan name at the very heart of Chinese fine dining.
The perfect discreet meeting space, the London EDITION Penthouse, complete with custom furnishings, brings a touch of decadence and luxury to proceedings, with the decidedly more intimate capacity of 50 (standing) or 20 (seated) allowing you the chance to be a lot more hands-on and personal in your approach, allocating one-on-one time to each of your guests and really focusing on making a great impression. The wraparound landscaped terrace has the added benefit of wonderful panoramic views out across London, making for a beautiful breakaway space.
The Hideout is a private dining room on the second floor of Brasserie Blanc Chancery Lane. It has hosted many a private function, particularly those with a formal or corporate tone, due to its sense of sophistication and professionalism. The authentic French vibes throughout the venue as a whole bring real character to any occasion, with other spaces aside from the main dining area including The Clubhouse, for more casual gatherings, and a conservatory where guests can mingle over a welcoming drink or two.
The Collective HQ is a hub of creative spaces (which include both indoor and outdoor areas) that are available for a wide range of different event types, aiming primarily to offer a sense of community, flexibility and inspiration to the forward thinkers of London. The maximum capacity allows for up to 225 guests in total, and being centrally located, easy to reach rail links include Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road, both of which are a mere 6-minute walk away.
6 Fitzroy Square is a Georgian building featuring 2 grand rooms complete in the regal and elegant style that has become synonymous with the era, and which benefit from great levels of natural light courtesy of the large windows that overlook the square itself. The small onsite kitchen can be used to prep the food, whilst guest-wise there is room for up to 200 people in all. Well connected to the wider city, it’s surrounded by good rail links, including the likes of Great Portland Street, Euston and Warren Street tube stops.
