Below you will find a selection of some of Canary Wharf’s very best venues for a corporate reception, be it a networking event, a festive soiree, a farewell party for a colleague, or otherwise. So, take a look and see just a little slice of what this vibrant part of the city has to offer, and why it’s such an integral part of London’s events scene.
The Pearson Room is a stylishly appointed and flexible bar and restaurant space. A glass wall lets in an abundance of natural light for a fresh, airy feel, whilst also allowing you to enjoy the view out onto the iconic Canada Square. The comfortable lounge seating, 1950s inspired vibe and selection of cocktails and canapes combine to make this a particularly good choice for those hoping to take a more relaxed, laid-back approach. As for getting there, Canary Wharf tube station is just a few minutes away.
Wilberforce and Quayside at the Museum of London Docklands is a venue that proudly keeps a foot in the past, whist overlooking the futuristic skyline of Canary Wharf that flourishes and grows around it. Housed within a generously proportioned Grade I listed Georgian warehouse that dates all the way back to 1802, its original pine columns and floors sit in effective contrast with the more contemporary fittings and facilities. Westferry is the nearest rail link, reachable in less than 5 minutes.
28 West is found in the very heart of Canary Wharf, surrounded by good transport links including Canary Wharf Pier, Westferry and Heron Quays, keeping you well connected to further afield. This stylish lounge bar and multi-purpose event space looks out onto the River Thames and is ideal for those who favour a more casual approach, with features like exposed brickwork, comfortable seating and retro games creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and bringing a sense of fun to any gathering.
Highly modern in its design, East Wintergarden’s most distinguishing feature must surely be the 27-metre-high domed glass ceiling, which is not only architecturally and aesthetically pleasing, but practical in terms of providing natural lighting for the building’s interior. The Gallery above the main floor can be hired separately for receptions, and there are other spaces on offer too, such as the more intimate Promenade Room, often used for meetings or as a VIP area. Well suited to larger-scale events as well however, the venue’s total capacity is a whopping 1250, so don’t hold back with the guest list.
Part of the AMS luxury service, this Penthouse in Blackwall boasts a huge roof terrace that offers an unrivalled perspective out over Canary Wharf. The indoor space makes the most of this view as well, with floor-to-ceiling windows running the length of the wall which also serve to flood the space with natural light, enhancing the already bright and contemporary vibe. The capacity allows for 200 guests, whilst back at ground level, Crossharbour station is a mere stone’s throw away.
